It is Wednesday evening the 4 July at 9pm Moscow time. We arrived about four hours ago on a flight from Sydney via Dubai. Dmitry's driver, Alex welcomed us at the airport with a friendly smile. He drove us the 30 minutes to Dmitry's house and our trusty Earthroamer. On the way we stopped off at a small supermarket and bought some groceries. We checked the vehicle over and Dick put on some new stickers which we are told say "Australians Driving Around The World". Pip packed our clothes and food into the cupboards. The Earthroamer seems in good condition and we are now testing our new Iridium programme for sending our diary and photographs each day as we travel.
